The first hints of autumn are in the air. The light has shifted to more gold than glare, it’s dark longer, and the nights are cool enough that the scent of woodsmoke drifts through my still-open windows.
Hydrangeas
I cut a small bouquet of hydrangea blooms from my bush before they start to fade. This summer was too wet for a good bloom on the lilacs or roses, but the hydrangea bush has been overflowing with flowers. It’s been a good reminder to take the time to stop and appreciate the beauty around us, even with the chaos going on.
Speaking of chaos, all three stories are flowing and I’m feeling like my old self again. It’s been a rough road to get back to this kind of word flow and I’m grateful y’all stuck around while I dealt with the trauma and healing afterwards.
The three stories I’m working on are Rowan (from the Supernatural Intelligence Network series), Gone on Arrival (book 2 in the Forge County series), and Grave Designs (second book in the FBI Mystery/Thriller series).
